Woot for being busy!
Jun. 8th, 2004 07:45 pmToday was indeed a good day.
Started early. Stupid evil bright day star. But it was worth it... got to have lunch with my favorite owl. There is much, much love for the owl. (and hugs, and apologies for all the drama. *sigh*)
Then had my interview for my GTA next semester. I got it!!! WOOT WOOT! UAH IS GOING TO PAY ALL MY TUITION PLUS 20 HOURS A WEEK!!!! And what do I have to do in return, you might ask? My position is GTA for IITS-- the people who do distance learning on campus. Basically I'll open the DL classrooms, turn the lights on, and sit and make sure the computers don't explode. Sort of a tech monkey deal. But they're paying me so I DON'T CARE!!!
Then I went over to the Conrans for a refreshing day of cleaning. Walter and I swept, mopped, organized, dusted, de-allergized, washed, and all-around put the smack down on the master bed and bath. Tammy and Erin arrived later and we all attacked the kitchen, bath, dining and living rooms. I also bagged a few more pine needles before I had to go. That's gonna be a forever job. And Tammy and Walter fixed the little doobob on the bottom of the refrigerator that keeps falling off!!!
Then I had to leave for my first round of teaching at Tony's School of Music. That was MUCH fun. I had one voice and four piano students today. The piano peeps are coming along nicely! There are two kids that are excellent. The voice kid... we'll keep working with him. =) I look forward to the rest of this week. I also look forward to the paycheck on Monday. =)
Now I am home. Trying to get a hold of Charlie to play some Diablo II. I need something to do, the Duck needs love and company, and Walter needs a reason to come out. =)
I cannot stay home and think about drama. *sigh* I hate being stuck in a half-life... but there's nothing I can do about it right now. And I hate dragging someone else into it. Which, of course, I've done.
Enough of that. I shall post this heap o madness now. =)
