(no subject)
Oct. 6th, 2004 08:16 pmI posted this in reply to Birdie's last post, too... but I thought it deserved a post of its own. Maybe we can get another hundred replies. =)
I always saw Edwards as more intelligent than Kerry. I wanted him to win the Democratic nomination. Ho well.
Cheney is a hundred times more intelligent than Bush. Of course, when you multiply a number by zero, you still get zero. =)
I was fairly impressed with the debate. Except for the way the Republicans keep taking these catch phrases from previous Kerry/Edwards speeches out of context and beating them to death. Can't they do anything better than point and yell "flip-flop!"???
I like Theresa Heinz Kerry too. For one thing... she kept her name! Go woman go! And she has opinions of her own, even some that are totally at odds with John Kerry's, instead of playing meek agreeable housewife to her dumbass Texan husband. *coughlauracough*
I'm pretty sure Cheney holds some opposite opinions than those of the President, as well... especially in the realm of gay rights. Of course, as I've mentioned, Cheney is far more intelligent. =) Slimy, but intelligent. I'd pick him for President over Bush anyday... except he'll keel over and die of a heart attack... right after Halliburton goes the way of Microsoft and Michael Jackson.
I did notice, however, that when people made allusions to Halliburton, Cheney would quickly change the subject. =) And while he kept saying, "You changed your mind on this, on that, on this other, etc." Edwards had a damn good reason for it. Like No Child Left Behind. Kerry and Edwards voted for it... back when it was a useful plan, and before the Bush administration made a clusterfuck out of it. Of COURSE they've changed their position! Any sane person would! Cheney had no rebuttal to that, either. =P
New Can O' Worms. =)
