Poor Karen (his wife) is holding up so well...
She emails Walter, and Walter emails the choir list, so we are all updated. Here is what she had to say:
*However, the doctor called about 5:45 this morning (that's when he does his rounds) and says that although there were no problems last night, the air leakage needs to be stopped. That sort of problem does not tend to heal itself and failure to get that taken care of could result in meningitis, among other complications. Consequently he wants to schedule M for more surgery either tomorrow morning or maybe Sunday. This procedure shouldn't be as traumatic as the last one as they're not taking out anything, but, here we go again.*
