Aug. 17th, 2004 07:49 pmWell, today was mostly a waste.
Last night was cool. Went to play pool with Ben Tucker. That was quite amusing, actually. We have similar skills and similar alcohol tolerances... it was a good match. And, well, it's Ben! =)
We ran (yes, ran) across 72 to Denny's to get food... that road is freakin' wide! It doesn't look like it when you're in a car, but wow is it big on foot.
Then to home. I think I got to sleep around 4. Then up at nine to shower and stuff to go to my appointment at UAH. I was *supposed* to have a physical done at Student Health. Said physical was *supposed* to include bloodwork.
So yeah. Y'all know the continuing love-hate relationship I share with pointy things in my arm. I want to do it, I need to do it... I just can't do it. I had asked for a presciption for 3mg of Xanax, but the prescribing doctor that the CRNP works with doesn't "like" to prescribe beznodiazepines. Oh, come on. I know they can be addictive... but the addicts I used to work with were using hundreds of milligrams... every day... not 3mg every couple of months! The CRNP did what she could, and gave me a script for Atarax, which is an antihistamine.
The results? I still panicked, I got no bloodwork done, and then slept the rest of the freaking day because of the damn Atarax.
I need to find out where my addicts were getting their stuff... it is so sad that they can get it so easily... but I can't and I use it correctly! Grrr...
Ho well. I am awake now. Finally. Gonna head over to Ryan's and hang out with him and Drew. Hopefully I'll be awake all night, having slept from 1pm to 7pm. =P
