Ryan, you put the adapter for the modem into the router, and vice versa... one pulls 1 amp, and the other pulls 2... so the 1 amp adapter got fried and melted.
But, one has been purchased. And Comcast has been duly notified, and now I have my new base station set up at the Pineless Woods! Much wute.
I am pissy, though. I was all set to go out drinking with Ben and company. Evidentally he's quite amusing in such a state, and I was looking forward to it. =) BUT it seems that $2000 worth of charges have magically appeared on my credit card!! And skyrocketed me over my limit. So I have $2 in my account and $1 in my purse. This condition will last until either A) I get my statement and can figure out this CC situation, or B) my student financial aid finally comes. I hope it goes to the right address. My GTA stuff didn't. *sigh*
I'm off to go continue settling in. Freya, Thor and Valkyrie seem to like it here... the kitties especially, since there's new stuff to climb.
